Patrick Bateman´s secretary Jean belongs to the exquisite inventory of his office. If her intellectual independence surpasses the one one of a barbie-doll or Patrick just reduces her to this role, the author leaves open.
Bateman himself describes her as an outstanding secretary, which stems probably from her decent organization skills and her helpless and passive responses when it comes to Bateman´s condescending actions of despotism.
